In the last decades almost all the schools in Bulgarian villages closed down. Even <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tripadvisor.com\/ShowUserReviews-g303653-d547559-r128444608-Tsarevets_Fortress-Veliko_Tarnovo_Veliko_Tarnovo_Province.html\">Veliko Tarnovo<\/a>, that gets visited by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.novinite.com\/articles\/181768\/Veliko+Tarnovo+is+a+Leader+in+the+Field+of+Cultural+Tourism\">more then 2 Million mostly international tourists<\/a> and is proud to be the former capital of the Balkans, cannot keep their schools open during the winter because they are lacking money for the heating.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The above pictures where taken by Kris and me in an abandoned school in a village nearby.
